Dehydrated skin is a common issue during the colder months but even then, it took me a while to understand I was suffering from it. It was only after going for a facial that I realised the reason why my foundation was sitting funny on the skin lately! Turns out I needed to up my hydration game.
You know I love everything rose related, so it was only natural my first choice was the Una Brennan Rose Intense Moisture Mask – it smells amazing to start with but it also leaves your skin plump and radiant afterwards. If you need something more intense and love sheet masks then I really recommend the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask. I absolutely love it! It does exactly what it says on the tin – it intensely rehydrates the skin leaving it supple and radiant. The mask sits perfectly on the face and does not drip all over the place. After leaving it on for 15 minutes, I like massaging the rest of the serum onto my neck, under eyes and lips until absorbed. Pure lush!
If waiting 15 around is not your cup of tea, then the Erborian BB Sleeping Mask is the best. You just slap it on before you go to sleep and you wake up the morning after with baby skin! More than once I slapped this on in the morning with a bit of mascara and went on with my day – what a rebel!
Admittedly I am not a big fan of creams, when it comes to moisturising oils is the way to go in my opinion and the more multi-tasking, the better. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil is by far my favourite – you can see from the pictures it’s on its last legs! It dries quickly, smells divine and can be used on your body, as well as hair and face. Bio-Oil is another good one I discovered recently. I primarily use it on my body to help with stretch-marks, but it is also good if you suffer from discoloration. I picked the Jurlique Skin Balancing Face Oil up back when I was in New York. Two years and it’s still going strong, so you definitely get a bang for your buck with this one! As the Bio-Oil, it hydrates and treats uneven skins while protecting from environmental irritants. It absorbs quickly so it can be used before doing your makeup without any disruptions.
