London Life Update

Well, hasn’t it been a LOONG time?! It’s been more than a month I’ve moved back to London and things have been a bit hectic. After spending the whole morning cleaning the house and doing the washing up I thought it was time you and I had a little catch up. I don’t know if this is going to be a long one, feel free to grab a cup of coffee or tea!

Flat White at Pavilion Victoria Park London

After a year in Italy I decided it was time to come back and give the city another go, and boy – I’ve done more in one month than in a year back home! I started working at my friends’ coffee shop the day after I arrived. It’s amazing how vivid the coffee culture is here in London and it was great to know more about it. Who knew there was so many things to consider when brewing the perfect cup!? After a month though, I had to say goodbye to the coffee shop and start my new adventure in Marketing. It’s only been two weeks but so far I am loving every minute of it!

Oxford Colourful Alley

The accommodation in London is famous for being a nightmare so I was kind of expecting this to be one of the most annoying/difficult things I had to tackle as soon as I came back. For one month I lived out of my suitcase sharing a room with a friend in a lovely AirBnB  in East London. After visiting a lot of awful and awfully expensive rooms in East London, we both moved to South West London, I have a tiny room for now –  so tiny I bump my elbow on the opposite wall on the daily, but it ok for the moment. The area is really nice and has a village vibe to it that I am really starting to appreciate, can’t wait to discover the area even more!

Oxford - Christ Church College- Harry Potter

One thing that I want to do more of are week end getaways. In almost five years I hardly visited England if not to visit my friend in Birmingham and Bath, so I made it a point to myself to travel a bit more. Last week I went with a friend to Oxford to visit his future college and have a feel of the city. I really enjoyed the place, and you can sense the University spirit at every corner, too bad we got caught in a Spring shower but we took refuge at Christ College and had a geeky Harry Potter kind of afternoon. Next on my book are Wales and Cambridge.

You can imagine than whilst changing jobs and finding a place to live I didn’t have much time to spend on the good ‘ol social media.Things should go back to somewhat regular programming soon so feel free to have a peek at Instagram to see more snippets of my new London adventure and keep up with new posts!
