FAIRY DROPS MASCARA

You might remember me speaking about the Fairy Drops Quattro Mascara in my mini haul. This mascara is highly popular in the beauty blogging world and since I was on the market for a new mascara I thought I would see what all the faff was about.

THE GOOD

It lives up to its claims of lifting, separating and lengthening the lashes with fibres and when the formula sets there’s no smudging or flaking which is great. The colour is also jet black which is always a plus in my books.

THE BAD

Where as it’s selling point seems to be the four-bobble wand I’m not a fan. I find it too big and I end up with mascara all over my eyelids and when I put mascara on I don’t want to be spending time cleaning up the mess. I came to realise that I prefer plastic over the more traditional ones. The formula, whilst great, it is wetter than I’m used to meaning it takes more time for me to build it up to avoid clumps.

THE RESULT

For just £1.50 more, I think I will stick to my trusty Benefit They’re Real Mascara or Roller Lash Mascara for they have a drier formula, plastic wands and get to the wanted result in just two coats, no need for me to wait for the previous coat to dry out a bit.  If you’re not bothered by wetter formulas and big traditional brushes, then the Fairy Drops  is for you.

Have any of you tried the Waterproof formula? Is it any different?
