AHA-Mazing Skincare I’ve Been Missing

Alpha-H Liquid Gold and Balancing Cleanser

I have to be honest, skincare is something that rarely gets me excited. It is difficult for creams and toners to have that WOW factor that any makeup item can have, simply because it takes more time to work. However, there’s always the exception that proves the rule.

AHA it’s a brand quite difficult to find and unheard of in Italy, so I was desperately trying to find a product that could act as a dupe, but nothing came close. So when the Boxing Day sales came in I scouted the Alpha H Perfect Partners Luxe 3-Piece Collection and I just couldn’t resist.

LIQUID GOLD

The first time I got Liquid Gold I was so scared for the fact it contained some kind of acids (glycolic and alpha hydroxy) but was actually super-WOWed the day after I applied the product that I immediately knew this would be my ‘top-shelf’ product. In fact I still remember how gutted I was when I finished my first bottle!

I don’t like rough exfoliators, kind of the majority you find on the market with grains and all as I feel the irritate my skin. Liquid Gold, as the name suggests, is a clear liquid that acts as an overnight facial. It is said to gently exfoliate the skin whilst revitalising dull skin and reducing the look of fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, blackheads, blemishes, pigmentation, scarring and redness as well as increasing elastin and collagen, thus firming the skin.

You would think it’s a lot of claims but I can totally vouch for all of them, every night I use it the redness on my cheeks is reduced, pores are less visible and the skin overall is smoother so I end up not even using foundation but just concealer, which is amazing if you ask me!

BALANCING CLEANSER

I am still trying this out but so far I am linking it. It takes all the make up off quite quickly and leaves the skin moisturised. It is said to take off waterproof mascara as well as toning and re-balancing the skin’s natural pH level. I am yet to decide with this one if it has the WOW factor or not but if it does you’ll be the first ones to know!
