Here we are again talking about Christmas, not original I know but it had to be done. Whether you are going to Christmas parties, family dinners or just feel the need to make your nail festive without all the faff of nail art.
ALL THAT GLITTERS
Glitters are the easiest and more obvious way to make your nail Christmassy. Kiko makes very good glitter polish that come off quite easily, which gets a big thumbs up in my books. The one I am wearing on my pinkie is Kiko 859 Metallic Gold whilst the stunner silver glitter polish is Essie Beyond Cozy from their 2012 collection.
If glitters are not your cup of tea, then you might enjoy a classic yet chic and festive pick like a red, a dark green or a black. I was on a hunt for a dark green but couldn’t seem to find anything that I liked, but if you have suggestions fire away, I am all years. Otherwise, my top picks for red and black are Maybelline Superstay 7 Days in 287 Midnight Red and Nails Inc Gel Effect in Black Taxi , which I already raved about in my Sweater Weather post.
Finally, a little outside the box but not so much is a pure white. I don’t see people using this colour enough and I think is such a shame! It requires a bit more effort than the dark ones as light colours have the tendency to get a bit streaky but I think white is the perfect colour to make a statement without being over top, also perfect for all year round. There’re a tons out there but I found the best to be Essie Blanc.
