A few weeks ago I got invited by the lovely people at Rodial to get the Kardashian look at their Harvey Nichols Contour Bar, and I couldn’t say no. Rodial is a brand that I knew but is not massively spoken about, so I thought this would have been a good opportunity for me to get pampered and learn a little sumthin’ sumthin’ about contour and their makeup range.
Rodial has an entire makeup range to allow you to get a natural look that enhances your features and does not cover them, as well as cruelty-free brushes that are very soft and gentle on the skin, I almost got chills when they used them on me. But there were The Contouring Powder* and The Eye Sculpt* that stood up for me the most amongst all the products that I tried.
The Contouring Powder is a cool brown powder that has been designed to offer killer countoured cheekbones in one sweep. This is a buildable colour, so it is made to suit fair skin like mine all the way up to darker skin tones. The packaging I am not a huge fan of, admittedly. I prefer more discreet logos, but since the product inside is very good I don’t mind it too much. It has a nice big mirror and a decent amount of product too so I think that’s what’s important.
The Eye Sculpt is the product that stuck with me the most. It has a mousse-like, again buildable, texture that might put you off at first, but it is actually very easy to use. What it’s more incredible though is that it’s a multi-use product. The lovely lady that did my make up used it for basically do my entire eye makeup. She used it on the brows to make them fuller, then lightly brushed it in my crease to then intensify the colour on the outer edges to make it more smokey.
So to make a long story short, this two products are your friends if you are the kind of girl that likes the natural, 5 or less makeup product looks. Trust me, these two babies came in handy for when I pressed the snooze button one to many times…
