Beeing Merry – Christmas Gift Guidin’ at Burt’s Bees

Christmas is rapidly approaching and I have to admit, I didn’t feel all Christmassy at all before stepping foot in to the Burt’s Bees pop-up shop in Covent Garden last Wednesday for their Christmas event hosted by the lovely Meg from Lips So Facto.

It was a very nice evening, so nice I was the last one to leave! Bubbles were flowing, so were mince pies and chocolate, I met some very lovely ladies, transformed into a crazy Little Santa’s Helper crating my wrapping paper, and wrapped the hell out of my presents…

Meg quickly introduced some of her favourites, among which the Banana & Beeswax Hand Creme which I was pretty skeptical about but which is actually rich and smelled AMAZING, and then we got into a swatch-aton of all their offering. I was on a look out for some nice yet affordable Christmas gifts from some friends and family, and I was very impressed with the varied choice: from stocking fillers to bigger set, you’re are able to get a very nice 100% natural and cruelty-free present  within a 15£ budget which I think is really good, considering the nice packaging and the quality of the products.

Now, I don’t know about you but I don’t have many beauty obsessed friends, some of them just are not bothered, prefer the essentials, some others like to look good with minimum effort, and I think I managed to pick up something for all of them.

For the bath lover: Therapeutic Bath Crystals * is the perfect gift for the girl who’s never sits still, for the one who spins like there’s no tomorrow, as well as for the one who simply loves relaxing baths at the end of the day. These 100% natural bath salts feature eucalyptus oil, and let me tell you I could spend all day smelling them, so nice, and perfect for when you have a snotty-nose or are a bit under the weather.

For the on-the-go girl: A bit of Burt’s Pink Grapefruit (£5.99) with the antioxidant-rich and super hydrating Pomegranate Lip Balm and Lemon Butter Cuticle cream, it is perfect for the one that is always on the go, be it on public transports, or on planes, this is the kind of girl that does not have a lot of time to pamper. What’s best than an hydrating session on your way to work. A not for the citrus lovers, you’ll wanna eat up the cuticle butter, yeah, it smells THAT good!

For your mum or the one who can’t just be asked with the whole make-up shebang:  The Essential Burt’s Bees Kit* is perfect for ladies like my mom, who don’t care for makeup, the only beauty regime they follow is hydration, nail polishes, lipsticks, foundations are lost on them….This kit is perfect as it has all the essentials to make sure you’re hydrated from tip to toe, literally!

The red lips/lipstick scared: Tinted Lipbalms (£5.99) or Tint’N’Shine* in Pink or Red. This one is perfect again for the girl who’s afraid of lipstick or is always late for work or school. The tinted lip balm has the whole amazing property of the original lip balm, still pepperminty which I love, with a kick of pigment. It is sheer, so you can build the colour up to your desire, which I think is also perfect to bring you lips from day to night with no effort. You have 9 shades to choose from, from the most natural to the deepest red. My favourite are Red Dhalia and Pink Blossom. Great also for the young girls, who’s not allowed to wear makeup yet, I find this is good compromise!

I could go on and on, so have a look at Burt’s Bees website for more and choose your favourite!
