Tanya Burr Lips & Nails

If you haven’t been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about Tanya Burr’s Lips & Nails range of products. If you haven’t here’s a little summary: available on feelunique from the 30 Jan, and now also available in Superdrug, the collection comprises of 12 lip glosses (£6.99) and 10 nail polishes (£5.99) packaged in a Chanel reminiscent packaging. The products have been 2 years in the making, all under the supervision of Tanya herself, she chose the shades, names and formulations according to her personal liking. Having over a million of follower on her You Tube channel, the expectations were high and the hype even more high! Suffice to say, feelunique sold out of the collection in few days. Due to that, my order came in 3 weeks from my order. So here’s my first impressions.

Just to try out one of each products I got a nail polish in Penguin Chic, and the Lip Gloss in Afternoon Tea. Overall I really like them both, although I haven’t given the nail polish a proper try out so I’ll post you on that one later on. The lip gloss has been on my lips since the day it came on my desk.

Have to admit I didn’t like it at first, being a lip gloss I was expecting a sheer gloss with a touch of colour. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I am not sure about the shimmery formulas, but let me tell you the creamy formulas are darn pigmented! It has a very sweet strawberry and cream scent to it, but not the overwhelming sickly kind, so for all of you sensitive nose out there, you’re safe! It comes with a rigid doe foot applicator witch gives the lipgloss very easy and precise application. A little goes a long way as, as I said it is very pigmented and shiny – just to give you an idea is kind of like if a lipstick and a lipgloss had a baby, Tanya’s Lipgloss is what you’ll get. I like to put a tiny amount on the lips to then dab it to avoid any harsh lines. Brownie points for being packed with moisturising ingredients!

Overall, it does what is says on the tin, is long-lasting, is shiny and moisturising with an affordable price tag too. What more can you ask!?!

I’ll probably go back for a little cheeky purchase of some of the red shades, not being too much of a lip gloss gal, but definitely liking my no-fuss make up, I believe this product could be a nice compromise for red lips kind’a days.

Have you tried Tanya’s collection? Which product is your favourite?
