London Fashion Week A/W 2014 just started few days ago, and I though I’ll do a little series reproducing the make ups and nail trends that I liked from the various main Fashion Weeks. Today is going to be, Carolina Herrera‘s Berry Lips in NEW YORK.
Sorry for the goofy pictures, but as you’ll come to know, I’m not one for having her pictures taken, and if I have to take them, be assured I have to make a silly face…There you go, you’ve been warned!
Let’s talk about the look. It’s very simple and matte on the eyes, with a touch of berry on the lips. Brows are quite defined, lashes not too voluminous.
For the base I used the same products I used on my video, so if you’re interested you can check it out here. Unlike the video, for this look I added a touch of blush on the top of the apples of the cheeks – M.A.C. Launch Away!* (limited edition) on a M.A.C. 116 brush. On the brows, I used Avon – Perfect Eyebrow Kit* in Soft brown on a Bobbi Brown Eye Definer brush.
On the lids, just a wash of Naked – the lightest matte shade from the Naked Palette (£37), and close to the lashes a thin line of M.A.C. Fluid Line* in Local Wares (limited edition). Curl the lashes and lash them with L’Orèal Telescopic mascara (£ 10.99).
On the lips, not having a berry toned lipstick with the right pink undertone, I mixed Dior Addict Lipstick Rose Shocking* in the shade 972 and M.A.C. Sheen Supreme Lipstick* in the shade Zen Rose (limited edition).
I actually think this look is suitable for spring as well, due to the pop of colour on the lips. Very simple and quick to achieve, perfect for those days you can’t be asked to do your make up, pop a bit of bold lipstick on, and it seems like you made a real effort.
For what occasion would you wear this look?
