The perfect evening skincare routine to me has to tick one box – be short and sweet. As you probably came to understand by now, is that I like my beauty stuff, but it has to be within a certain level of fuss.
To me this is my perfect routine: face, lips, hands and mind, all taken care of in less than 5 minutes – Cruuhazy!
For the visage, I use two drops of the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I got this one up under Anna and Lily’s recommendation during their meet up. It is a very lightweight oil with a lavender fragrance to it. Really hydrating, it sinks in the skin within seconds and is just so…nice! Extra bonus for the smell, it sends me to slumber town quite quickly. Its price is not so much of a bonus, for £36 – I got it with a 20% (?) discount during the event, but I hear you, not the cheapest of options, but yet a good ‘un.
I then add a little of lip balm on my lips. Nuxe Reve de Miel (£9.50) is da bomb for when you’re struggling with chapped dry lips. My pout and London’s freezing winds, are not getting along lately, and with one thin layer of this balm before going to bed and as first thing in the morning, I’m done. This product is also great for anyone who doesn’t like shiny lip balms, great for men too!
For my hands, I layer them with a dollop of Crabtree & Eveline – Rosewater Hand Therapy (£9). As the name would suggest, it has a great rosy smell, which I love! It has a buttery consistency, meaning it’s quite hydrating. It absorbs quickly and does not leave oily residues on your tips.
Last but not least, a spritz of The Body Shop – Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow & Body Mist (£10) on my pillow and on my wrists, and I’m ready to snooze. See you in a bit Morpheus!
